A network management tool for resource-partition based layer 1 virtual private networks

چکیده
A Layer 1 Virtual Private Network (L1-VPN) has two models for service management: the resource-partition based model and the domain-service based model. In this paper, we present a network management tool for resourcepartition based L1-VPNs. A Transaction Language One (TL1) proxy is designed to achieve resource partitioning at the network element level. Building on top of a TL1 proxy, we implemented a User-Controlled LightPath (UCLP) system to support physical network brokers to assign and allocate virtually dedicated resources to customers, and to enable customers to directly manage their resources. With such a capability, customers are able to create wide area networks based on their traffi c pattern, and to adjust their traffi c pattern based on available resources. LPKP: location-based probabilistic key pre-distribution scheme for large-scale wireless sensor networks using graph coloring
Communication security of wireless sensor networks is achieved using cryptographic keys assigned to the nodes. Due to resource constraints in such networks, random key pre-distribution schemes are of high interest. Although in most of these schemes no location information is considered, there are scenarios that location information can be obtained by nodes after their deployment. In this paper,...
متن کاملOn Bandwidth Efficiency of the Hose Resource Management Model in Virtual Private Networks
The hose resource provisioning model promises to provide an easy–to–use characterization framework for Virtual Private Network service offerings. Significant research effort has recently been spent on proposing new algorithms for provisioning cost–optimal networks specified according to this new model. However, a detailed comparison of the bandwidth requirement for networks designed based on th...
متن کاملSwitchlets and Resource-Assured MPLS Networks
MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching) is a technology with the potential to support multiple control systems, each with guaranteed QoS (Quality of Service), on connectionless best-effort networks. However, it does not provide all the capabilities required of a multi-service network. In particular, although resource-assured VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) can be created, there is no provision fo...
متن کاملDecentralized Routing and Power Allocation in FDMA Wireless Networks based on H∞ Fuzzy Control Strategy
Simultaneous routing and resource allocation has been considered in wireless networks for its performance improvement. In this paper we propose a cross-layer optimization framework for worst-case queue length minimization in some type of FDMA based wireless networks, in which the the data routing and the power allocation problem are jointly optimized with Fuzzy distributed H∞ control strategy ....
متن کاملPolicy-Based Automation of Dynamique and Multipoint Virtual Private Network Simulation on OPNET Modeler
The simulation of large-scale networks is a challenging task especially if the network to simulate is the Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Network, it requires expert knowledge to properly configure its component technologies. The study of these network architectures in a real environment is almost impossible because it requires a very large number of equipment, however, this task is feasible...
